Direct sourcing is one of the strategies used by global cocoa companies, including Cargill in Vietnam, Chocolats Halab from Switzerland, and Luker Cocoa in Colombia. It allows these companies a more direct involvement with improving sustainability, extension, certification, and livelihoods.
